Hello, My name is Arlinda. I'm from Brooklyn, NY.

My dream is to become an actress! When I was younger, I tried pursuing it and I was in a few Toys R Us commercials, Lifetime Commercials, Print Ads for school textbooks, a few music videos (one of them was for Rosie O'Donnel) but I had to quit. My family didn't have time to take me which sucked, but here I am now!

Why I didn't go after it when I was actually allowed to travel to the city on my own was because I felt like I couldn't do it and I felt like I didn't have a shot at it again.

It would mean so much to me if you voted. It would mean so much to me if I actually won! I love acting more than anything in the world. I'm not here because I just want to act and I "think" it is For me. This is something I take seriously and I hope you believe in me.

These are my youtube videos, they are in Albanian. Being on stage made me realize how much acting means to me! It made me want to try again because after seeing people so proud of me and my family in shock, I said to myself, I have to do this! It was one of the best experiences for me because I performed in front of 3,000 people!

One time I will never forget was when I was in Montenegro in 2009. Two little girls came up to me and asked me, "are you Arlinda Balidemaj that recites?" I said to myself wait, they are from here, not from America. Their mother told me how they saw me on youtube and how her daughters memorized my performance and always talk about me as if I had inspired them.  

In the past, I won many Oratorical Contests at my school for public speaking! I also got the chance to interview the Prime Minister of Albania in 2008 and published it in the Albanian newspaper in English.
