no harvest

This is the six minute version of my newest short-film, "no harvest".
There are many ideas that propelled this short into production, but allow me to give a quick back story of the short film:
The original idea came from a vision. I had a vision of someone dark and scary walking through an old 19th century graveyard. The only logical idea I kept thinking of was the Grim Reaper. Then my favorite band, Umphrey's McGee, came out with their newest studio-album, "Mantis". One of the tracks featured on the new album was called "Cemetary Walk", this song began with a creepy piano at the beginning of the track, which started to mold my visuals as to how I would present the Reaper in his territory. Due to copyright issues, and a little better fitting of a tune, I locked in a similar sounding, but creepier tune.
So I had visuals to set the mood, but I needed to create something that would cause the viewers to want to keep watching. Naturally, I resorted to comedy. The existence of the Reaper's personality was formed around two central ideas, or pieces of pop culture.
The first piece came from a Jeep commercial aired a good five years ago, which featured a Grim Reaper doing kind things for his environment, such as putting a young bird back in it's nest, riding a bicycle, skipping stones, and hitting golf balls.
The other piece of the puzzle was a little inspiration from "Family Guy". There have been several appearances from the Grim Reaper on Family Guy, played seperately by two different actors, Norm McDonald and Adam Corolla. So, we gave the reaper some pep, some personality, and created a reaper that was hesitant to do his own job.
Well I don't feel like typing anymore. If you have questions, send a message or leave a comment!
