Walking In Broken Glass: The horrors and devestation of what war can do. The pictures are public domain shots showing the aftermath and devastation of the bombing during World War II coupled with some guitar-synth soloing and various background weirdness. Imagine the survivors, possibly burnt and shoeless trying to find their ways through piles of twisted metal, cement, and broken glass. Looking at these pictures only reminds us of why war should always be the very last option, and the fact that there is never a so-called good war.
Mashed Up And Crackled: The aftermath of the war, and its devesation, looking at the world around in a different light while lost and homeless, looking out at what the world is and what it should or could be, realizing what it has become. As the sun sets--another day of hoping for a better tomorrow.
The second song video is a mixture of nature shots (with my usual psychedelic distortions) featuring keyboard and rhythm (somewhat erratically!) along with intentional 'conflict' in the various sounds. For whatever reason I enjoy having contrasting and conflicting notes, clicks, and other noises just to set a slightly different tone to a piece, to be psychedelic and not 'politically correct' in terms of how some thing music 'should be. It may not be for everyone, may not even be that 'professional' musically (I'm far from it!) but it's what I'm compelled to do, as it is art I don't really consider the popularity aspect of it anyway, though I do enjoy the fact that so many people have been watching here at Yobi.TV!
Thanks to those that take the time to watch, listen, comment and vote, and as always thanks to the staff at Yobi.TV for offering this great forum that has attracted such an interesting variety of artists.
Rock on! ~~~Joe Destruction~~~
