When The Picture Becomes The Painting (Reality & Illusion) / Oceans Of Nothing

When The Picture Becomes The Painting: There is no art more beautiful than that of nature, but it's easy to lose yourself in the complexity of simple things and allow the picture to become the painting, much the same as some people visualize art as reality. One is not the other, but both can enrich the mind and the soul. In this case the simplicity of a country scene morphs into the unnatural colors of art and psychedlia.
Oceans Of Nothing: We float through space on a small blue planet in a vast galaxy, reliant on a sun that's at just the right distance, and so many don't think about the fragile nature of our existence. We also don't seem to mind polluting the only planet that we know of, the only planet we know we can survive on. In the ocean in many places there are 'dead zones' where nothing can live because there is no oxygen in the water. (Made even worse recently in the Gulf Of Mexico thanks to the BP oil leak!) There are places in the ocean where literal island of garbage have collected. Pollution in our air, in our ground (and groundwater), chemicals in all the things we eat. Why these thing don't worry people more is amazing to me, the ocean is an absolutely essential part of our ecosystem and people take it for granted, much the same as they take for granted our position in the cosmos. Pollution and over-population are the LEADING problems we face in coming years, and so far we only have one planet to live on and we need to remember that.
Extreme psychedelic, avant-garde, classical, rock-jazz-new wave-free form-improvisational-etc.etc. weirdness...
