The Final Days Of Art & The World In Motion
JoeDestruction
Here is a two part video featuring a new video and a remade older video.
The Final Days Of Art: This song has a dual meaning to me, the first being the advent, or at least more recent popularization of corporate 'art' products, i.e. art made not for the sake of art but to be commercially compelling. It struck me that so much of what is popular in the media these days is tailor-made to market to certain groups, as oppossed to being creative, or at least created for the sake of art. The second meaning is in regards to a friend of mine (named Art) who got cancer around the same time that I did (09) and who wasn't as lucky with his outcome as I was with mine; I'm still here, he's not. (Cancer sucks! Duh...)
The World In Motion:
This video captures the constant movement that is occuring all around us; traffic, planes, trains, people walking and running and driving, creatures being born and dying, and the infinite complexity of all that is happening around us all the time everyday. Think of how many wheels are in motion at any given time, how many bullets are flying through the air, how many hearts are beating, how much love is made, how much hatred is consumed, how many steps are taken...
