YOBIFilm Season 2
Week 8 Semifinalist

NO DICE FILMS is Dan Wainio, Steve DiMatteo, and Bronson Arcuri, three young filmmakers living in northeastern Ohio who have grown up together and started making movies when they were 13. What started with simply a blind obsession with cameras and filming everything in front of them quickly became a little more organized when they started making short films. They adopted the moniker of No Dice Films for their production team because the name seemed to best fit the tragic-comedy style of stories they found interesting. Their biggest project to date is a $200 digital feature film entitled SCATTERBRAIN that they made during 2008-2009 and was meant to cut their teeth on feature-length filmmaking - the ultimate goal for the team. They have also made numerous short films that have made rounds in student film festivals as well as produced video sketch comedy regularly. They are all now 21 in college at Ohio University and their future plans include making a second feature film with a larger budget as well as continuing to make short films for film festivals, for Filmaka, and for fun. More of their work can be found at either www.nodicefilms.com or www.youtube.com/nodicefilms.

You have my BIG epic vote. This was great. Was it shot on film or just a 35 mm adapter?

well done man. the direction of the eye lines in the bit at the beginning (stalker in car, girl outside) are a bit confusing. it's hard to tell where they are in relation to each other. they were both shot very well individually, but the cutting between them was a bit confusing. Maybe its just me, but I think she could have been covered from either inside his car, or behind it, (voyeuristic) just to clarify the layout of the scene. Cool short tho man. you've got my vote.
