About me and making movies/Film:

I've always had an interest in making movies, from the creation of your own story, to getting things set up for it, to shooting it, to editing it, and to acting in it. The best feeling though is seeing a finished product, and seeing peoples reactions, and getting good feedback, (Good and bad, both help), from people you don't even know.

Ever since I sat down in front of the TV as a little kid, I always knew I wanted to be on the TV somehow. It eventually grew into my amazement of actually making movies with my parents home video camera, lol anyone remember the old HUGE VHS cameras? Than it went farther to me getting my own digital video camera. Every video that I made with friends or family, I would write, cast, direct (little kids too, might I add for that matter, they are a handfull to direct), act in, and edit myself.

Finally my parents asked me if I wanted to attend the New York Film Academy for the 2008 summer film program. I attended and had the time of my life, we were there for 6 weeks, in Orlando Florida, in Disney's own back lot. We shot 4 projects each student, two film projects and two digital. Each project that was not our own, we were a member of the crew in another persons project, such as a DP, AC, lighting, etc.

As the projects started though, some members from other groups asked me if I wanted to play a role in their films. Until it got to the point where I was asked to play the lead in all our final films. I thought acting was fun when I was making movies with friends an family, but I did it to get the movie made, I never really considered my acting as good or bad, it just was what it was. But after NYFA, I got so many compliments from students an staff telling me I should really consider acting. It was a tremendous experience, and I don't intend on letting it go to waste. I'm currently doing everything I can to get myself into the movie business, no matter what it takes.

I’m a big fan of close-ups and I enjoyed the unrushed close-ups of the girl waiting, I also liked the short cut away to the hydrant. The high point, in my opinion, was the score at the climax scene. Now, what I didn’t like which is just a stupid insignificant thing, is the clock-like transitions, but if you wanted to give it a silent-film-look then don’t mind me. Good work buddy and all in less than 2 minutes.
