David Kilgo is an actor and filmmaker from Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama where he earned his degree in Psychology but also studied theater and participated heavily in many student films. During his time at the University, David participated in Campus Movie Fest, with 2 of his films screening at the international grand finales in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

David also participates in many 48 hour film competitions, many requiring minimal sleep and maximum resourcefulness. While you can’t expect to win them all, David has had his share of successes winning Best Picture at Sidewalk Scramble in 2008, and Best Use of Prop at the National Film Challenge in 2010. While competition is high, David gained lots experience in thinking on your feet and learning how to work with what you’ve been given.

As a director, David has found his way into several types of film. While he’ll always consider himself a narrative director, he loves doing the occasional music video or commercial. Most notably, David directed Public Service Ads for LessThanUThink, an anti-binge drinking organization. David’s ads aired on television and were awarded at the KoronisFest PSA Festival in 2011.

David is proud to have his work recognized by Yobi.tv and excited to be apart of the New Stage production team.
