Profile

YOBIFilm Season 3
Week 11 Semifinalist

My name is Matt Chimento, and I am a film maker, videographer and graphic desinger at UCF in Orlando, FL. I've been creating short films for close to four years, and have worked in all kinds of small productions with friends and some more important ones of my own.

As a filmmaker, my goal is to set a new standard in movies as we view them, both in the sense of an art form and as a message for something. Films have enormous potential, and are often wasted on the artist themselves, rather than the viewers and listeners of the final product. My goal is to reverse this thinking, at least in my own circles and area.

"The Love Story of Peter Fracken" is a short film with a small emphasis on love and relationships, and a bigger push on the sweetness and charm an old-fashioned point-of-view can still retain.

I also play around with the camera sometimes, and the current photos are a result of a road trip to New York and D.C. in March 2008. All photos taken with a Fuji FinePix E550.

This is pretty good but can you imagine the film without the Voice Over, would it work? Considering film is a visual medium, especially so with a short film narrative where voice over isn't very common.
