After dusk many bugs find a place to stay for awhile. This fidgety blue hornet was maintaining itself next to an outdoor lamp post - stretching and scrubbing its face, antennae, body, and behind - in order. This image of the hornet flaring its wings and stretching in every which direction looks as if it is being trapped inside the borders of the picture frame.
