Kroneage
The largest lighting strike I have ever seen in my life, struck the top of a mountain over 5 miles away (only one of many large strikes to hit that mountain during storm). The preceding EMP blast knocked out my LCD screen for a moment and created major horizontal shearing in the first 5 shots of a 15 shot per second sequence. It lit up the entire lake and night-time sky for miles around like daylight for nearly 2 seconds (abnormally long). The thunder rattled my teeth and bones to the core. The heat from this particular strike tore a gaping hole in the cloud layer that could be seen for some time afterward. You can actually see the clouds being displaced in a circular fashion in this shot. Absolutely incredible...
This was a very powerful storm in the area that created an insane amount of strikes in just a few short hours; strikes occurring on all sides of the lake every single second. This was the product of the "Violently Serene" Sunset Storm shown in some of my previous pictures. I will post more amazing lightning shots from this storm, and others, soon.
This is the only clear photo I got of the main part of this particular strike, the rest are nearly whited out.
