shutter speed was slow only 1/60. yeah i had to manual focus it moving the camera back and forth lol.....i'll try tomorrow with a f/8 and see if i can get the shutter speed up that way and also crank up the iso.

what was the shutter speed matt? also, be aware that lenses are normally sharpest at around 7.1-9, they are not getting sharper and sharper if you keep narrowing towards 22. you will probably get the sharpest image at aperture 8 or 9 with a shutter speed of anything above 1/250, if its a flying insect, you will need at least 1/400 i would say. also, its worth trying manual focus instead of auto, as the subject is so small, that autofocus cant decide which part of it would you like to get sharp.
