Hi, my name is Patricia.  I am a single mother of three great boys.  The oldest is a senior in college, the middle just graduated high school and the youngest is just entering high school. I live in a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia.  I am with the man of my dreams, that soul mate they speak about but that you never think is real...until you actually find him.  I found him when I was not looking and have never looked back.  I have loved photography since high school.  At one time I married a photographer so I learned some about the business but was never allowed behind the camera.  When I met Rhay (my soul-mate) he has encouraged me to pursue my passion.  Some of my other hobbies are calligraphy, poetry writing, sewing, crocheting and gardening.  My boyfriend is a singer, songwriter and musician and I have helped him with some lyrics before. 

I love the fact that you can capture a moment, just a moment, in time or in someone's life, with photography.  I have lost both parents now and a brother and it is only the photographs that really live on.  My children can not go back to where I grew up and see what was there.  They can only see it in the photos that captured it.  They cannot see their grandmother as I knew her growing up, only as they knew her later in her years, without the photographs that captured her youth.  They cannot go back to my grandmother's house (who died when I was 9) and see the house that I so loved to visit or the front screened in porch with the swing, unless I show them the pictures.  That is why I love photography. It gives you a glimpse into someone's life and helps preserve memories for generations to come.

I use an Olympus E-500 Digital SLR camera with either a 40-150mm lense for closer shots or a 14-45mm lense for other shots.  I am still learning, believe me, but I am loving the learning.
