NOW TOP 5 !! WOW...SO WHAT IS NEXT:
If I win any of the prizes in the Yobi Contest I will donate 3%, or a minimum of $100, to a charity.
In addition, if I win any of the top 5 prizes, I will use a portion of the money to travel. Travelling has always calmed me and has broadened my perspective on life.
And if I win the top prize, beside all that was mentioned before, I will use a portion of my winnings towards my professional development.

About Me
I was born in Tehran, Iran and have been living in Toronto, Canada for the past 11 years. I started photography in my early teens with my parent’s au tomatic camera and later with a Russian-made plastic camera, given to me by my uncle. I revisited my passion for photography while studying architecture. It gave me a chance to document what I saw and could not describe and could only frame with an image.
What inspires me is photography’s ability to capture the beauty in everyday moments. In things that happen in fractions of a second but leave us with lasting impressions. Photography allows me to speak what I can not say and would like to share with others.
My approach has been quite simple. It can be explained best by what Garry Winogrand once said, “I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed”. However, I am not a purist, I tweak the photos, crop them, or make adjustments, but it is all to enhance what I perceive to be the feeling of that moment. And for that reason, my work is an extension of my experiences and a critical look at the juxtaposition of elements around us. With these ideas in mind, I turn the lens to everything around me. I search to find traces of life within the momentary interactions of people with their surroundings.
