Shadow's Never Leave
JoeyDinooo
Well, I wrote this in a matter of minutes, and recorded it in another matter of minutes, and I've gotten so much good feed back on it ever since. I wanted to do something similar to Across Five Aprils' "A Year From Now", with the whole spoken word idea, mostly poetic. So I gave it a shot, but with a more positive subject matter. I just wanted to do it to do it, which is why it took me not long at all to write and record, but I like the turnout. Someone messaged me on youtube, telling me about this site and that I should enter because I have a lot of talent with this, and my other songs (usually aren't spoken). So I'll take a stab at it.
If you want to see where I first uploaded it, be my guest.

Oh, lyrics:
It's cliche how amazing you are.
Your voice, your smile, your looks, your personality.
It's like it's all out of a perfectly written book,
no flaws, no imperfections, not even close to an abnormality.
And it's cliche how amazing you are,
because every single time you even glance at me none the less stare into my eyes,
your eyes sparkle, just like the diamond I think you are, that I know you are.
And it's cliche how amazing you are,
because it's amazing how cliche this song is.
I feel like shakespear, but I know I'll only ever be me.
I don't have the words to explain this, I never did, never will.
But what I can tell you,
is that it's cliche how amazing you are.
And just the fact that I can't hold you in my arms everyday,
eats at me like a cancer.
But you are my antidote and you're what keeps my heart beating,
faster and faster everytime your lips touch mine.
And no matter how far I go, what happens,
and who even dares to even try to come in between us.
I will always be right at your side, like your shadow is.
And shadow's never leave.
I'll never leave.
