I wrote Liars after confirming that I had been lied to by a woman pretending to be 'our' friend but who was sabotaging my marriage. I was sooo angry. I couldn't play guitar at the time but was determined to learn enough chords and rhythms to play it so I could vent my anger 'constructively'!
