It's my 21st birthday. This is what I spent my day doing. Haven't played in forever so by this time my fingers were KILLING me, sorry all my stuff is always so ROUGH.
Who's to say I'm broken;
Who's to say I'm done?
Who has set the standard
of the games I haven't won?
Who could call me fearless
if I'm too afraid to swim?
But that devil on the porch swing
could say he and I are friends.
(Chorus:)
Been walking left of living right
I've gone too far a few times.
Flip a coin and take a chance on me.
Still walking left of living right;
The road is broken, but it's mine,
and it's okay if you can see past the weeds.
All the time I've lost,
fell in such a mess.
You could say I'm simple,
with a complicated mouth.
On and off the edge I'm falling,
talking inside out.
All the doors are closing
with the nights that never end.
I'll admit, there's plans I've made,
but I don't hold my breath.
(Repeat Chorus)
All the time I've lost,
fell in such a mess.
