My friend Linda Jakubowski wrote a story and I put it to music. Here it is.....
When he was a kid he broke girls' dolls but never did say sorry. When the boy grew up, he broke girls' hearts but never did say sorry. They called him and said "You broke my heart, but never did say sorry." One day there she was a girl so sweet. It took his breath away. Blonde hair, brown eyes, he fell in love in a heartbeat. She gave him a smile. The two got to be one, they never left each other. But an argument about a small thing, it shouldn't matter to them but he didn't say "I'm sorry". She closed the door and walked away. Three days went by, she didn't come back through the door. She didn't call and he didn't say "I'm sorry". Then a guy called and he said "We found her in the river. She's dead and so is your child." Then the guy, who didn't apologise, started to cry. She had written a note "I love you, you're my life but this doesn't work. You never said I'm sorry, so neither will I." She was buried and flowers were laying on the ground. He knelt down and said "I love you. I shouldn't have let you go. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all that I've done to you. I'm sorry I'm me. But I love you so I'm sorry we never looked at the moon. But I won't be sorry, when I see you soon.
