Little Something (Original Acoustic) by Emily Fralick
thursday1016
Hey all! So this is another cute little jazzy ditty; I wrote it earlier this year but just got around to doing it properly! By the way, all of these cute little love songs are about my boyfriend of 3+ years, Jon :)
I'll give you a little something to talk about
Rather than scream out loud
The fighting, it was something we did before...
Before we matured
'Cause when the animosity is put aside for good
We'll we forgive exchanges where we were misunderstood
So lean close, for heaven's sake
And whisper words we've been too stubborn to articulate
You know what to say
Ten minutes ago I'd have slammed the door
And counted ceiling tiles from my bedroom floor
...for an hour or so
Well I'm lucky to here in this room again
On the couch where you first took my hand
Do you remember when?
'Cause now the animosity is coming to an end
And if I hit the deck next time, at least I'll be with my best friend
So lean close for both our sakes
And whisper words we've been too stubborn to appreciate
You know what to say
In stupid moments when I've wanted goodbye
(All heated and distraught, these lights are hot)
Keep me in check, knock me in line
And when this sinking winter feeling gets old
(As you well know it will, the lingering chill)
Just think of me, and let it go
I'll give you a little something to smile about
A message to read out loud
Oh, for heaven's sake, you know what to say
