My name is Janick Thibault, I’m 16 years old and I live in Laval, near Montreal. I'm a one man band named "AMASIC". I write & record my songs alone, in my little studio, in my basement. The music I do sounds like a mix of Rock, Pop, Punk music.

MY LITTLE STORY:

I first started with a band named "ELEC3CAL". With this band, we played about 4 shows, and we were only playing "GREEN DAY" songs. We has a lot of success me and the 2 other member of the band, but then, the two other members decided to stop playing music...but not me! 

So I discovered Youtube, which is the website that changed everything for me. First I uploaded cover songs on my Youtube page. After receiving many great comments, I decided to start writing my own music, and then filming my own videos, and then, upload them on YouTube. The popularity of my videos was growing really fast, I have now over 6,500,000 views on YouTube, and I'm #12 Most Subscribed musician in Canada. Shortly after I uploaded my own songs, in 2009, somebody told me about an “original song contest” on the web, so I decided to upload my videos on the website of the competition and almost won the thing! My material reached the top 10 and did a very strong impression (2 years later,  entered again and won the 3rd place & a role in a webserie called ''Dream Maker'' with Audrina Patridge) The feedback I got from the competition encouraged me to continue writing my original songs,and convinced me that I was doing the right thing. 

Also, in the same year, my favourite band, "GREEN DAY" decided to create "AMERICAN IDIOT, THE MUSICAL". A guy who was working on it asked me to do some covers of their song, to do the official promoting video of the thing, and then, the lead singer of "GREEN DAY" heard my cover!

My local radio station "NRJ" (which is listened by over 1,000,000 of people everyday) also talked about me 2 times! UPDATE-I was also received at the radio for an interview.

I was also on T.V 2 times in a french show called ''0 a 1000 l'échelle du talent''. The 1st time I won the 1st place, and the 2nd time, the 2nd place.

I have now a total of 23 original songs. I'm woking on new songs/covers. At the moment I'm writing these sentence, my 110,000 fans on youtube are still growing,and it keeps me believing in my music, and I'm hoping that someday a record company will hear my music and sign me.
